Coronation Foursomes East of Scotland Area Final

The last players to come in from the course, Susan Coleman and Judith Anderson from Hawick, won the East of Scotland Area Final of the Peugeot 208 LGU Coronation Foursomes today with a score of 34 Stableford points over Broomieknowe.  

84 couples played in the event, and although everyone said how nice the course was, how good the weather was (sunny at times, no rain, little wind) and how much they enjoyed it,  no-one could post a score better than 33 points until Susan and Judith came in with 34.   There were six couples on a log-jam of 33 points.  Runners-up were Kirkcaldy (J Cassells and A McKeown) and third Ratho Park (S Ross and V Sproule).

Susan and Judith qualify to play in the Peugeot 208 LGU Coronation Foursomes Grand Final at St Andrews in September.

Four couples won the Twos sweep  (Braehead, Dunnikier, Hawick and Beamish Park)  and Marjory Crichton (Tillicoutry) guessed closest to the number of Smarties in the jar (849).  Don't eat them all at once!
