Dumfries-shire, who beat Galloway 5 1/2-3 1/2, on the opening day of the South Division women's inter-county team championship regained the title by beating Borders 5-4 in a very tight match today at Colvend Golf Club.
The foursomes were shared 1 1/2-1 1/2 and Dumfries-shire shaded the singles 3 1/2-2 1/2.
With two wins out of two, Dumfries-shire's final tally cannot be matched by either Borders or Galloway who play the last fixture of the championship tomorrow.
This means that the four teams for the Scottish women's inter-county finals at Montrose Links from September 21 to 23 are:
Angus
Dumfries-shire
Midlothian (defending champions)
Renfrewshire.
