Curtis Cup player Holly Clyburn (Woodhall Spa), pictured left, and Scottish women's amateur champion Laura Murray (Alford) have accepted invitations from Mohamed Fakir (Menara Travel), overall organiser of the 3rd Morocco Golf Festival, to be star guest players at the October 7 to 14 autumn golfing highlight over five courses in the immediate vicinity of Marrakech.
Two of the courses, Al Maaden and Amelkis, will be used by the Ladies European Tour for their Qualifying School events in December so it is a great chance for Holly and Laura to get a taste of what it is like to play golf in Moroccan conditions generally and specifically over the Q School venues.
Three more Scottish lady professionals, Pamela Feggans, Katy McNicoll and Pamela Pretswell, received the same offer of free flights, meals and five-star hotel accommodation to play in the Morocco Festival.
"They are thinking about it and they will get back to me within next few days," said Mohamed Fakir.
"I am hoping that these top class lady golfers are going to raise the profile of the Festival and attract more club golfers to make bookings."
There is room for players of the calibre of those mentioned above and also longer handicap men and women, boys and girls.
There are various categories of competition within the Festival.
Log on to the Menara Travel website and read all about it.
