Kelly Tidy and Hayley Davis will represent England Golf in the International European ladies’ amateur championship at the Golf and Country Club Diners Ljubjana, Slovenia, from July 25 to 28. Kelly Tidy, 20, from Royal Birkdale in Lancashire, won the English women’s amateur championship in May and went on to help GB and I win the Curtis Cup for the first time in 16 years. She is a past winner of the British women’s championship.
Hayley Davis, 19, from Ferndown in Dorset, became one of the youngest winners of the English championship when she claimed the title at her first attempt, aged 17.
In 2011 she won the English girls’ championship and has since completed a successful first year at Baylor University, Texas.
The European championship is played over 72 holes. After three rounds there will be a cut with the top 60 players and ties qualifying for the final round.
