KINSLEY'S SOUND START BEFORE RAIN HALTS AT STRATHAVEN
Ben Kinsley (St Andrews) - pictured last year with the trophy - has made a satisfactory start to the defence of his Scottish Under-16 boys' stroke-play title with a par-matching round of 71 at weather-hit Strathaven.
Play was suspended because of rain at 5pm and never restarted before darkness fell.
At least half the field have still to complete their rounds. Play will restart at 7.30am Thursday.
Murray Naysmith (Marriott Dalmahoy) and Sweden's Oskar Bergvist share a two-shot lead from Kinsley.
