PAMELA PRETSWELL PAR ON PRO DEBUT IN NORWAY
Curtis Cup player Pamela Pretswell from Hamilton marked her debut as a professional with a par round of 72 to be lying joint third at the end of the first round the Ladies Norwegian Challenge tournament at Hauper Golf Club, Norway today (Wed).
Pretswell has played in more professional than amateur events this season but only announced she was giving up her amateur status at the beginning of this week.
After nine straight pars on the outward half, the 23-year-old Scot dropped shots at the 10th and 13th but cancelled them out with birdies at the 14th and 18th.
Sweden's Camilla Lennarth leads with a four-under-par 68, three ahead of Swedish amateur Malin Lundberg.
Pamela Feggans from Ayr had a 75 and Nairn Dunbar amateur Kelsey MacDonald a 79, which included two double bogeys).
Also on 79 was Katy McNicoll from Carnoustie.
Glasgow's Gemma Webster had an 80.
