ROBERT MacINTYRE RETAINS ARGULL AND BUTE U16s' BOYS' TITLE

Robert MacIntyre today successfully defended his Argyll and Bute Under-16 boys' county title at Inveraray.
This triumph follows successes at national level earlier this month in the Scottish Under-16s' championship where he was top Scottish performer, finishing tied 2nd.
Then he finished tied 17th in the Scottish boys' stroke-play championship last week at Cardross.
The course, softened by two weeks of rain, was a tough test for the boys. To put the scores into perspective, the course record is level par 70!
