SALLY WATSON FINISHES DOWN THE FIELD IN SLOVENIA

Sally Watson finished joint 48th in the European women's individual amateur golf championship at Ljubljana, Slovenia today (Saturday).
The Stanford University, California student whose family home is now in Elie, Fife had rounds of 68, 73, 75 and 75 for a seven-over-par total of 291.
She finished 23 shots behind the winner by seven, France's teenage Celine Boutier who scored 68, 66, 66 and 68 for 16-under-par 268 and a six-shot advantage over runner-up Marina Stutz (Austria).
Boutier was beaten finalist in last year's British girls championship final at Gullane.
Scottish champion Laura Murray (Alford) and Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) failed to survive the third round cut.
