SCOTS GIRLS FACE FIGHT TO MAKE TOP FLIGHT IN GERMANY

Scotland will be walking a tightrope in Wednesday's second qualiffying round of the European U18 girls' team golf championship at St Leon-Rot Golf Club, Germany.
Only the top eight teams after the 36-hole stroke-play test will go forward to the championship match-play stages.
The Scots girls are joint ninth on 371 with Sweden and Belgium so they have to shake them off and also overhaul the two teams sharing eighth place on 367, Finland and Denmark.
On a day when England's girls looked different class - they head the team standings on 22-under-par 438 and had the individual leader in Elizabeth Mallett with an eight-under-par 64, top Scot was Clara Young (North Berwick) with a 70, followed by Rachael Walker (Dumfries & Co) on 72 and Lesley Atkins (Gullane Ladies on 75).
Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies and Lauren Whyte (St Regulus) had 77s while Jessica Meek (Carnoustie Ladies) had an 80.
