A drizzly damp start for the semi-finals this morning
The first match, between Jemma Chalmers and Sheena Wood, was nip and tuck all the way with Sheena victorious on the 18th, two holes up.  The other semi was a close match all the way and went to the 20th, with Ann Ramsay defeating Laura Murray.
In the final, Sheena won the first hole, Ann won the second and the fourth with a great birdie.
The subsequent six holes were halved in pars and the 11th halved in birdies. Sheena squared the match at the 12th.
The 14th and 15th were exchanged with birdies and the 16th halved. Sheena unfortunately three-putted the 17th to go one down.
At the 18th the misfortune was Ann’s catching the top of the tree on the dog leg with her second shot. The ball dropped in a bunker, giving Sheena the opportunity to square the match.
They headed down the 19th hole with Sheena emerging the winner.
In the handicap semi finals, Isla Moncrieff defeated Tegan Sievewright 4 and 2, and Molly Stewart defeated June Nicol 2 and 1.
Another exciting final ensued with both girls playing excellent golf and scoring much better than their handicaps would be indicate.  Isla had a few loose shots and was three down with four holes to play.
She almost had a hole in one at the 15th which spurred her on to pull back to all square on the 18th tee. On the last green Molly sank her putt for a 4  to win the match.
It was a beautiful warm sunny afternoon with perfect conditions for golf. Sincere thanks to Blairgowrie Golf Club for hosting this tournament and to all those who stayed to support the finals.
