STACY LEWIS DONATES $100,000 TO ARKANSAS UNIVERSITY

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — Former Arkansas University student Stacy Lewis is donating $100,000 to her alma mater.
The university said the gift from the LPGA Tour star, ranked No 2 in the world, will go toward expanding the Razorback golf training facilities.
Univeristy of Arkansas Chancellor G. David Gearhart said Lewis’ gift reflects her devotion to helping other Arkansas students become successful.
Lewis graduated in 2008 with a degree in finance.
She won five out of five matches for the United States in the first three-day Curtis Cup match against GB and I over the Old Course, St Andrews in 2008.

+Lewis's generosity towards her old university is not uncommon although probably larger than most in a one-off donation. It is understood that  Luke Donald makes financial contributions to his alma mater, Northwestern University, Illinois. School days are the happiest days and fondly remembered.
