TORPHINS BOYS 1-2 IN PAUL LAWRIE JUNIOR TOUR AT KEMNAY
By IAIN POWELL
Paul Lawrie Foundaiton Tour organiser
The start of the school summer holidays and the tour headed to a warm and sunny Kemnay ... but not for long we had a huge rain shower that made the course very difficult to play with a lot of lying water.
Despite the tough conditions Torphins member Calvin Duffton (pictured) managed a fantastic 40 points to pip his clubmate Ryan Harker by a single point.
Cruden Bay's Calum Sheal also managed to beat par and take third place with 37 points.
The course and welcome we received at Kemnay was great as always.
