ANNE RYAN BEATS SISTER MARY SMITH TO WIN BRORA OPEN

Tain's Anne Ryan beat elder sister Mary Smith by six shots to win the Brora Women's Open last. 
Ryan's par-matching card of 71 came from halves of 36 and 35 while her sister was 37 and 40.

Brora's lady captain Marlene Bokas enjoyed  success with two trophies, the Brora Salver confined to home club members and the Hunter Trophy confined to members of Sutherland clubs. 

The open competition for the Brora Bowl was won by Anne MacDonald (Tain) with a par-bursting net 64 from 34 handicap.
