ENGLISH LADIES SENIOR INTERNATIONAL DAY 2

CAMBRIDGE MERIDIAN
Day 2
Tournament conditions at Cambridge Meridian on Day Two of the tournament were particularly difficult with a blustery south westerly wind, which turned into a gale as the last pairing of American pro, Susan Moon, and Welsh international, Jane Rees finished their game.
Overnight leader, Scotland’s Cathy Panton Lewis, continued to hold her lead, taking a two shot lead into the final day, over American pro, Susan Moon. Belgian pro, Corinne Reybroeck, had the best score of the day with a one over par 75. The Cambridge Meridian juniors always enjoy caddying for the ladies’ seniors. Corinne’s caddie, Jai Patel, was thrilled and somewhat amazed at Corinne’s golf.
Vivien Saunders, “Corinne always travels to us on the Eurostar, with a very small golf bag and about eleven clubs. The junior boys simply cannot believe her skill!”
Abbotsley pro, Chris Langford, a former winner of the title launched herself back into contention with a two over par, 76. Chris, “It was tough out there. I missed a few crucial putts but holed a couple of tramliners.”
Minna Kaarnalahti, from Finland, and Roz Adams, from England, continue to lead the amateurs, both with two rounds of 79.
The Nations cup is being led by the United States from the England team and thirdly the Scots.
