FLOWERS OF SCOTLAND. Beaten but unbowed at the end of the Girls Home Internationals.
No truth in the rumour that the SLGA want to delete foursomes from next year's programme at St Anne's Old Links, Lytham.
The Scots "lost" the foursomes to Wales, England and Ireland but "won" the singles 3 1/2-2 1/2 against both Wales and England and "drew" the singles 3-3 with Ireland.
NOTE FROM EDITOR: On a serious note, two changes to the format would bring the series into the 21st Century ... play better-ball foursomes instead of alternate-shot foursomes .... every member of the team plays in the singles.
