SCOTS BOYS SHARE LEAD IN BELGIUM


Scotland are sharing the lead in the boys section after the opening day of the Belgian junior international golf tournament at Royal Belgique Golf Club near Brussels.
Ewen Ferguson (Bearsden) had a 73 and Ewan Scott (St Andrews) at 75, which gave the Scots boys a first-round aggregate of 148
That matched the total achieved by Italy.
In the girls event, Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies) had a 79 and Scottish girls champion Lauren Whyte (St Regulus) and 81 for a first-round total fo 160. That put them in fourth place behind Belgium (152), Spain (153) and Italy (157).
