SCOTS VETS LOSE OPENER ON HOME GROUND
Scotland made a disappointing start to the Veteran Ladies' jamboree at The Hirsel. They were beaten 5-4 by North of England after taking a 2-1 lead from the foursomes into the singles.
Former Scottish champion Fiona Anderson from Blairgowrie, who has lived in the Manchester area for some time, won twice for the English side.
In the other match, England Midlands drew with England South 4 1/2-4 1/2
