WHAT THE DICKENS! SUZANNE BREAKS COURSE RECORD ON WAY TO WPGA WIN

Suzanne Dickens broke the course record at Forest Pines to seal her second successive victory in the WPGA One Day Series.
Dickens, pictured, of Peterborough's Thorpe Wood Golf Club, shot a four-under-par round of 70 to win the event by two shots ahead of Wessex Golf Centre's Fern Grimshaw and Hertfordshire player Marie Allen (Motocaddy Limited).
And the result continued Dickens's fine form at the Lincolnshire venue where she has now recorded five wins.
But Dickens, who is fast rediscovering her game after being hampered by injury problems, admitted she did not know how good her score was.
She said: "When I came in I was told I'd broken the course record.
"I had no idea of that while I was out there, and I knew there were still other people to come in who could have beaten me so I didn't get carried away.
"But now that it's over I'm delighted to have done it.
"Forest Pines has been very good to me over the years, that's five times I've won here now. It's an excellent course.
"The next round is at Little Aston where I've never won so I might have to adjust my game for that.
"I certainly feel I'm getting over my injury problems now."
Dickens added this triumph to her victory at Kedleston Park earlier this month.
She made an eagle at the 15th hole before finishing with a birdie at the 18th to make sure of the win.
She said: 'I kept it very solid and very tight out there.
"I'm going out to Finland to play soon so this was a great way to prepare for that.
"But as for the WPGA Order of Merit, I haven't even looked at it. It's not something I'm thinking about at the moment but it would be nice if I can keep this going and make it a competitive end to the season."
