We played together at the Evian. She's a really nice girl and I got really excited when I saw the pairings because I think we're going to have a great time." Stacy Lewis, who as an amateur won five points out of five for the United States in the 2008 Curtis Cup match over the Old Course St Andrews, said: "Playing with Catriona Matthew is a very good draw for me. She's great to play with. Catriona definitely knows how to play this style of golf to cope with the kind of wind today we had in the pro-am. " I played against her in a couple of matches in Ireland last year at the Solheim Cup and this weather just suits her game to a tee. So maybe I'll pick up a few things from her."
