CHARLOTTE THOMAS THIRD ENGLISH DEBUT WINNER IN AMERICA


Surrey-born Charlotte Thomas is the third English student to win on her US college golf debut at the start of the 2012-2013 season.
Charlotte, pictured bt Cal Carson Golf Agency, who has lived in Singapore for most of the past five years, is now a student at the University of Washington - the Huskies - and she won the Oregon State Invitational at Trysting Tree Golf Club, Corvallis, Oregon with a five-under-par total of 211.
Charlotte had rounds of 70, 72 and 69 over the par-72, 6141yd course to win by one stroke from Lindsay Harman (Washington State) (70-73-69) at the head of a field of 90 players. 
She is the first Husky ever to win on her college golf debut.
Washinton (853) also won the team event by 25 shots from Washington State in a field of 16 squads.
Other English-born debut winners over the past week or two have been Meghan MacLaren (Florida International) and Abi Laker (Arkansas State)

 LINZI ALLAN MAKES TOP 10 IN TEXAS

West Kilbride's Linzi Allan, a student at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, finished T9 in a field of 73 players at the Angelo St Conco River Classic at Bentwood Country Club, San Angelo, Texas.
Over a par-72 course of 5,960yd, Linzi (pictured left) had rounds of 77 and 73 for a total of 150.
Two players finished at the head of the leaderboard on level par 144 - Flower Castillo (Incarnate Word University) (70-74) and Isabelle Jimenez Perea (Tarleton State) (74-70).
Newman (613) finished fourth of 13 in the team event behind winners St Edwards University (594).
