DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – After two rounds of play, Florida Tech sits in sole possession of third place at the NCAA Fall Preview at LPGA International.
The Panthers were led by sophomore Rachel Polson from Aberdeenshire, Scotlland. She shot a 73 to sit at one-over-par for the tournament to top the individual leaderboard. Polson entered the day in a tie for first after shooting a 72 Sunday.
In the team event Florida Tech trails Sunshine State Conference foes Barry, who shot a team score of 618, and Lynn, who shot 606 to remain in first place. The Crimson and Gray shot 621 Tuesday.
Felicia Leftinger charted a 76 on the round to vault into a tie for 18th place. Senior Jessica Hook was third-best for the Panthers, coming in with an 80 to sit in a tie for 29th.
Florida Tech will finish the three-day tournament Tuesday while paired with Barry and Lynn. Groups begin teeing off at 8:20 a.m. Polson will tee off at 9:50 a.m local time.
