SCOTS SCHOOLGIRLS WIN, BOYS LOSE TO ENGLAND

Scotland schoolgirls beat their England counterparts 6-3 after winning the singles 5-1 but Scotland's boys went down 10 1/2- 7 1/2 in the annual schools golf international at Hesketh Golf Club, Lancashire today. The Scots schoolboys lost the foursomes 4-2 to England and then lost the singles 6 1/2 to 5 1/2 Winners for the Scots girls in their afternoon "charge" in the singles were Lesley Atkins, Rachel Walker, Connie Jaffrey, Clara Young and team captain Jessica Meek.
