TOP TEN FINISH BY HAYLEY DAVIS AT ALBURQUERQUE
Baylor University, Texas young team, which includes three English players, led with only a few holes to play in their latest tournament, the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire collegiate over the University of New Mexico championship course at Albuquerque.
But a rash of bogeys took the wheels off their bid for the title and Baylor finished sixth of 17, eight shots behind team winners Iowa State.

Emma Castleberry from Hailsham came 21st equal of 223 (76-72-75) and freshman Lauren Taylor from Rugby and Woburn GC, the youngest ever British women's amateur champion at the age of 16 in 2011 at Royal Portrush, finished on 224 with scores of 76-75-73. That placed her joint 25th in a field of 93 players.
It was the second tournament in a row that Lauren had recorded three scores which got better each day.
The winner of the event, by the way . was Jennifer Coleman (Colorado) who put together rounds of 70-70-68 over the par-73 course to win by an astonishing margin of eight strokes with an 11-under-par 208 total.
Aberdeen-born Katy Cardno (Texas Christian) finished on 237 with scores of 83-76-78.
