Jane Turner with Fife county president Bev Brown
Craigielaw's Jane Turner won the East of Scotland women's championship on Sunday at Kirkcaldy GC for a second time. The first was at The Glen in 2007.
She shot a two-under-par 70, six under the CSS, and had two shots to spare over runner-up Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe).
"My round had 1 eagle, five birdies and five bogeys," said Jane. "I played really well, especially from tee to green but with the course being so waterlogged it was difficult to perform well on the greens.
"I feel like I've had a really consistent season and this gives me a good boost of confidence leading into the SLGA Champion of Champions competition at Glasgow Gailes this coming Sunday.
"Apart from the East Alliance events, that will be my last tournament of the year."
