Congratulations to both Lauren and Hannah on an excellent final played in the best of spirits.

Match report by Mandy Easton:
On a cold but dry autumn morning at Murrayfield Golf Club, Edinburgh, the final of the East of Scotland Girls' Championship between Hannah Scott of Broomieknowe and Lauren Whyte of St Regulus started with some steady golf as both girls halved the first two holes with pars.
At the tricky par 5, third hole, Hannah was the first to take the lead with another par. Lauren quickly fought back, winning the fourth hole. However Hannah then won the next two holes to be two up playing the seventh which was halved again in pars.
After Hannah found the bunker on the eight and misjudged her pitch to the ninth the two holes were taken by Lauren to take the match to all square after nine holes.

Hannah missed the green in losing the short 10th and Lauren's two good shots to hit the 11th green in two to set up a birdie, put her two up.
The 12th and 13th were halved before Lauren went three up with a birdie at the 14th.
The 15th was halved with two good birdies.
After two good drives at the 16th, Hannah won the hole and the match with another birdie for a 4 and 2 victory.
