Report on Kingsfield Finals Day 23rd September 2012
Fantastic weather, fantastic venue, fantastic condition, fantastic golf. Basically a fantastic day.
What a brilliant way to finish our summer season, many thanks to Robert Arkley and all his team at Kingsfield Golf Course for making us so welcome and being perfect hosts, I am sure many of the kids will be back soon to play Kingsfield..
On the day we had Under 12 and Under 10 events for boys and girls, a special Under 7 boys section along with 2 prize draws and a adult and junior putting competition. A very busy day, in total we had 56 boys and girls competing.
Our prize draw winners both received annual membership of Kingsfield Golf Club, so congratulations to Ruaridh McKenzie and Aamar Saleem, while in the putting competition David Noon father of Jack Noon and Jack Gallacher son of Stephen Gallacher were the winners.
Congratulations to all the boys and girls who competed today as they all have contributed so much to the Foundation in its first year and they are a credit to the Foundation. The standard of golf has been tremendous, improving with each event. so clearly the coaching from Jane Connachan and David Burns at each of our events is paying dividends.
The winners today of each of the Under 12 and Under 10 sections were given membership of Kingsfield Golf Club along with a digicard for 500 balls a prize all were keen to win.
The course today was set up around the 1900 yard mark, in very testing conditions, special mention goes to our Under 12 winner, Calum Murray who was round in 35 shots, fantastic scoring. Also congratulations to all 10 of the players who on the day reached the 9th hole in there allocated 36 shots.

At a very windswept Dunbar Golf Club we held our end of season finals day for the Under 18 boys and girls. All participants had qualified for this event by finishing either in the top 10 or top 5 of there respective Order of Merits. Congratulations to all the boys and girls for qualifying for this event.
Many thanks to everyone at Dunbar Golf Club for allowing us to hold our event on their wonderful course. The course was in excellent condition and we all, were very well looked after in the clubhouse.
