Defending champion Catriona Matthew from North Berwick has her work cut out if she is to repeat last year's victory in the Lorena Ochoa Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club, Mexico.
The Scot had a opening round of 71 and followed that with a 72 to be lying joint 19th on 143 in a select field of 36 players after two rounds.
Leading the field by two strokes is Angela Stanford, pictured right, with scores of 66 and 67 for 11-under-par 133.
