IRIS KEYWOOD MADE HONORARY D and A MEMBER
 

Iris Keywood, a member of Cardross GC and a member of D and A for 61 years, was made an honorary county member at the meeting. Iris is pictured right with county captain Alisoun Fairbairn
Iris played in the county team every year from 1952 until 1977. She won the D and A County Championship four times and was runner-up on five other occasions.
Before presenting the beautifully printed scroll for honorary membership to Iris, captain Alisoun Fairbairn spoke warmly and at length of Iris’s golfing career and her contribution to the successes of the county in inter-county matches and Scottish finals
and her many personal golfing successes, at National, County and Club levels.
In thanking the members, Iris said how much being a part of D and A had meant to her over so many years and spoke about the lasting friendships she has made which mean so much to her.
