FRESHMAN BOLTON FROM BURY 3RD IN THE CLASSIC AT TRIBUTE


James Bolton from Bury, a freshman student at Newman University, Wichita in Kansas, finished third in a field of 70 at The Classic at The Tribute college tournament at Tribute Golf Club, The Colony, Texas earlier this week.
Bolton, pictured right, shot 71-66 (lowest second round and equalling lowest of tournament) for seven-under-par 137 in finishing three shots behind the winner, team-mate Myles Miller who had scored of 66-68 for 10-under 134.
Matt Porter (McMurray) was second on 135 (66-69)
James Hornsby from Liverpool, also a student at Newman University, finished T24 with scores of 77-70.
Newman (562) won the team title by 13 shots from runners-up Midwestern State in a field of 10 teams.

BELLSHILL'S BRADLEY MAKES TOP 20 


Glasgow's Eamon Bradley, a freshman at Southeastern Louisiana University, finished T20 in a field of 70 at the ASU Fall Beach Classic at Peninsula Golf and Racquet Gulf Shores, Alabama.
A former Scotland boy international, Bradley, pictured left, who hails from the Bellshill area of Glasgow, shot rounds of 74, 75 and 78 for a total of 11-over-par 227.  
And the joint winners were Alfred Kerstis (University of Arkansas-Little Rock) with 75-68-71 for two-under 214, a total matched by Tolver Dozier (Troy) with scores of 71-68-75.
Vanderbilt (882) won the team title ahead of joint runners-up Murray State and UALR (both 891).
Southeastern Louisiana (908) were fourth in a field of 13 teams.
