KATY NEEDS EXTRA SPECIAL LAST ROUND IN SPAIN TOMORROW

KATY McNICOLL ... needs to finish at least third in LETAS Order of Merit. She is currently fourth.

Katy McNicoll's hopes of finishing in the top three of the Ladies European Tour developmental circuit's Order of Merit - and thereby circumventing the LET Q School and going straight on to the Tour next year, are fading.
With one round to play in the final LETAS event of the year, the Banesto Tour Valencia in Spain, the Carnoustie player, who is fourth on the Order of Merit, is joint 17th on 147 after rounds of 74-73.
The third-placed order of merit player she needs to catch, Norway's Cecilie Lundgreen, is joint ninth on 145 (72-73).
McNicoll will need an extra special final round over the par 72 Escorpion Golf Club course at Valencia - and even then it might not be enough.
Pamela Feggans from Patna, Ayrshire survived the cut with nothing to spare on 148 after a pair of 74s.
But the third Scot in the field, Glasgow's Gemma Webster, missed out with a pair of 79s for 158.
Curtis Cup star Holly Clyburn from Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, playing her second event since turning pro, leads the field by one shot with scores of 67 and 71 for six-under 138.
