It was a day full of laughs and smiles at the inaugural ISPS Handa Heroes event at The TwinEagles Club in Naples, Florida.
The duo of Stacy Lewis and Betsy King came out on top in the charity nine-hole tournament with a 5-under par finish in the nine-hole event.
Four teams of two consisting of one current LPGA star and one LPGA Legends Tour player took the Eagles Course on Monday following the LPGA Tour's season-ending event, the CME Group Titleholders. Lewis and King recorded five birdies and no bogeys en route to a 5-under par finish and received $50,000 to donate to their two charities of choice: the Scoliosis Research Foundation and Golf Fore Africa. Lewis knew coming into the event that they would be hard to beat.  
"I knew Betsy could still play," said Lewis. "I was surprised with how far she could still hit it and she hit it really well and putts with the magic putter. So I knew we'd team up well together."  
Lewis, who has had quite the week after being awarded her Rolex Player of the Year award on Friday night, still found some extra energy to take part in the charity event.  
"I had energy for nine holes at least," said Lewis with a laugh. "It was fun. I had some help from Betsy. She made some good putts. It was a fun day."  
Lewis is an ambassador for King's Golf Fore Africa and sponsors a child in Africa. She joined King and the organization on a trip to Rwanda and has impressed King both on and off the course.
"She's had a fabulous year," said King. "When I got to first spend some time with Stacy a couple years ago, I knew she would do well. I see some of myself in her; she's more talented. But she's quiet and about business and very good with charity.
"She has the competitiveness to do very well and she's proven that."
The remaining three teams received $10,000 and finished as follows: 
Brittany Lincicome/Jan Stephenson, 4-under par
Lexi Thompson/Pat Bradley, 4-under par
Paula Creamer/Nancy Lopez, 1-under par.
The inaugural event honored Dr. Haruhisa Handa who is a devoted golf supporter and has played a significant role in showcasing the women's game around the globe. 
ISPS, the organisation that he founded in 2006 to support charitable causes throughout the sporting world, currently sponsors more than a dozen professional golf events worldwide, including The Handa Cup and the ISPS Handa Legends Tour Open Championship on the Legends Tour and the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open on the LPGA Tour.
The event will be broadcast on Wednesday, November 21 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET (US time) on Golf Channel.
