GRAEME ROBERTSON T40 AFTER FIRST ROUND IN ARIZONA
Stirling University student Graeme Robertson from Glenbervie was lying joint 40th in a field of 82 players after the first round of the Patriot Classic college tournament at the Wigwam Resort, Litchfield Park in Arizona.
Robertson, pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency, who shot a four-over 74, had a double bogey 6 at the 14th and also dropped shots at the second, fourth and fifth. One birdie - at the seventh - could not repair all the damage over a testing par-70 course of 6,948yd.
Adam Hedges from Bromley, Kent, a student at Belmont Abbey College, Charlotte in North Carolina, is the leading British player in joint third place on 69 - two shots behind the co-leaders Seb Cappelen and Kenin Penner.
Anglo-Scot Alistair Dalgleish (Oklahoma Christian) had a 77 for a share of 65th place.
