IVAN IS NEW LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR CHIEF EXECUTUVE IFFER ELECT

NEWS RELEASE FROM THE LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR
The Ladies European Tour (LET) is delighted to announce that Ivan Khodabakhsh will become the new Chief Executive Officer with effect from January 2013.
Khodabakhsh is currently CEO of World Series Boxing based in Switzerland and prior to that was Event Director at the European Athletic Association. He will succeed Alexandra Armas who is stepping down after nearly eight years at the helm.
LET Chairperson,  Karen Lunn adds: “Ivan was the unanimous choice of the Board from over 100 applicants for the role and we believe his vision, commercial expertise and experience in a number of sports will prove to be a huge asset as we look to further enhance the opportunities for our playing members.
“I would also like to place on record our appreciation of the excellent job that Alexandra Armas has done for us and wish her every success in the future. Alexandra advised us in March this year of her intention to step down and she has been of great help during the recruitment process of her successor.”
Ivan Khodabakhsh: “I am really thrilled to be appointed and excited by the challenge of growing the tour in a number of areas that will benefit the players, sponsors and engage fans of women’s golf. There is huge potential for growth in women’s golf, especially considering the inclusion of the sport in the Olympic programme.”
Current CEO, Alexandra Armas adds:  “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time over the past eight years at the LET and I am happy with what I have accomplished during that time.
“However, I believe it is now right for me to seek a new challenge.   I wish Ivan and the Tour every success and look forward to helping Ivan in any way I can.”
Ivan Khodabakhsh is attending the final event of the Ladies European Tour, The Omega Dubai Ladies Masters at the Emirates Golf Course in Dubai from 5-8th December 2012.
