SCOT FIONA JOINT THIRD IN DORAL PUBLIX JUNIOR EVENT IN FLORIDA

Fiona Liddell, Germany-based daughter of Stephen Liddell, the Scots-born professional at Schloss Vornholz Golf Club, Ostenfelde, finished joint third in the Doral Publix junior championships' 14/15 years section in Florida.
Fiona, who won the Ansley Reid Salver at this year's Scottish U18 girls' championship at Crail, had scores of 74, 77 and 70 for a total of five-over-par 221, six shots behind the Danish winner, Cecilie Bofill who shot 75, 71 and 69 for one-under-par 215 and a one-stroke win from runner-up Albane Valenzuela (Switzerland) (77-70-69).  
Eloise Healey from Liverpool finished T10 on 226 with scores o f 73, 78 and 75.
A total of 52 players took part in the 14-15 years girls' section.
