CARLY RAY (17) LEADS DIXIE WOMEN'S AMATEUR BY FIVE

SPRING, Florida: Carly Ray Goldstein shot a third-round 68
and opened a commanding five-shot lead (on January 1) in the Women's Dixie Amateur
being held at ClubLink's Heron Bay Golf Club .
The
local 17-year-old is at nine-under-par 207, ahead of three players
including tennis great Ivan Lendl's daughter Isabelle, who shot a 68.
Ocala resident Kristine Odaiyar, the first-round leader, had a 70 and
Christina Ocampo, a University of Miami student, came in with a 69. All
three are tied at 4-under par, 212.
Finland's Matilda Castren is next, another stroke back, after a second-consecutive 2-under par 70.
Goldstein and Lendl will be last off the tee at 11:24 Wednesday morning as the event concludes on the 6,200-yard course.
Ashley Rose, a resident of North Augusta, South Carolina, is the leader in the senior women's division after a third-round 75.
