MEGHAN FINISHES FIFTH IN TERRAPIN CHALLENGE IN FLORIDA

Meghan MacLaren from Cambridge, a freshman student at Florida International University, finished fifth in a field of 93 players at the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge women's college tournament over the Senator Course (par 72, 6278yd) at Shula's Golf Club, Miami Lakes, Florida yesterday.
Meghan had rounds of 70-74-74 for a two-over-par total of 218 - six shots behind the winner, Lindsay McGettrick (North Carolina State) who scored 70-71-71 for four-under 212.
NC State players finished 1-2-3 with overnight leader Brittany Marchand second on 213 (69-71-73) and Augusta James third on 214 (70-74-70).
Meghan MacLaren's team-mate, Sophie Godley, a freshman from Notts, finished T23 on 228 (76-76-76).
Other English/Welsh students in the field finished as follows:
Heidi Baek (Maryland), a freshman from Suffolk, and Sian Evans (East Tennessee State), a junior from Gillingham, Kent - T30 on 229. Heidi had rounds of 78-75-76, Sian 75-76-78.
Jessica Gregory (Maryland), a freshman from Sittingbourne - T45 on 233 with scores of 79-78-76.
Abi Laker (Arkansas State), a freshman from Oxfordshire - T57 on 236 (80-81-75).
Anna Carling (Arkansas State), a senior from Vale of Glamorgan - T60 on 237 (80-79-78).  
Not surprisingly, North Carolina State (874) won the team title ahead of Florida International (886), Miami (895), Maryland (899) and East Tennessee State (909)
SELECTED TOTAL - 967 Arkansas State (last of 16 teams).  

HOLLY JUST OUTSIDE MOBILE TOP 40
 
Holly Robinson, a sophmore student from Sligo, Ireland at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, finished T41 in a field of 74 players at the USA Women's College Invitational tournament over two rounds at Azalea City golf curse, Mobile in Alabama. 
Holly had scores of 81-83 for 164, finished 15 shots behind the winner by two, Emelie Westrup (Arkansas-Little Rock) who scored 73-76 for 149.
Dolores Brown (McNeese State), a freshman from Royal Cinque Ports, scored 83-83 for 165 and a T44 finish.
Katie Reid (Arkansas-Little Rock), a junior year student from Elmwood College, Cupar and Dundee, finished T57 on 169 with rounds of 83-86.
