STEPHANIE MEADOW LYING JOINT 4TH IN LADY PUERTO CLASSIC

British women's open amateur champion and Curtis Cup star Stephanie Meadow from Northern Ireland shot a one-over-par 
73 in the first round of the Lady Puerto Classic college golf
tournament at Rio Mar Country Club's River Course, Rio Grande today.
The Alabama University student, pictured,  finished the day in joint
fourth place behind leader Emily Tubert, the US Curtis Cup
player and student at Arkansas University.
Emily shot a two-under-par 70 to leave by two shots.
Aberdeen-born Katy Cardno (Texas Christian) is T70 after an 81 while Londoner Rosie Davies (Indiana) is T79 in a field of 84 
players.
Arkansas (291) have a narrow lead in the team event over Alabama and Texas Christian, both 293. There are 15 teams taking part.
