STIRLING MOVE UP TO 14TH IN US COLLEGE TOURNAMENT TABLE
Stirling University lifted themselves off the bottom rung of the table in the second round of the 54-hole Prestige at PGA West college tournament in which the Scots students are taking on some of the best American university golf squads.
With a 36-hole tally of 599, they moved up from last of 15 to 14th position, 34 shots behind joint leaders Washington and UCLA.
Jack McDonald leads the Stirling scores with rounds of 72 and 71 for one-over 143.
Matthias Eggenberger (72-76) and Cormc Sharwin (73-75) are both on 148.
Scottish boys match-play champion Craig Howie is on 162 with rounds of 85 and 77.
Alexander Culverwell has scored 83 and 79 for 162.
