STIRLING TEAM LOOK AWESOME IN NEW UNIFORMS

The University of Stirling’s golf team will bring a splash
of colour to the televised The Prestige at PGA West tournament after securing a
sponsorship deal with Scotland’s newest and most spectacular golf clothing
brand, Royal and Awesome.
The prestigious 54-hole collegiate tournament, played on the
Greg Norman Course at PGA West in La Quinta, in California, begins on February
18, and the Stirling team is the only non-US university in the 15-strong field,
which includes Stanford and Arizona.
Coached by former European tour professional Dean Robertson, the Stirling team includes top amateur Scottish talents Jack McDonald, Cormac Sharvin, Zander Culverwell and Craig Howie – who will follow in the footsteps of former world number one Luke Donald, a former participant in the event – and will certainly turn heads in their new Royal and Awesome team uniforms.
Royal and Awesome brand director Graeme Smeaton said: “We are delighted to be able to support the University of Stirling team for this prestigious event and we hope we can help spur them on to glory. We are sure they will have great fun wearing our clothing throughout the season and we look forward to following their progress.”
Edinburgh-based Royal and Awesome’s sponsorship of the university team will last throughout the coming season and includes supplying the team with Well Plaid Tartan trews for the tournament.
