BEN JOHNSON AND BETHANY COLLEGE, KANSAS WIN AGAIN
Ben Johnson (Bethany College), pictured, a second-year student from West Sussex, scored his second win within a week or so of his last one when he had three strokes to spare at the head of a field of 74 players in the South Central Kansas Spring Invitational collegte tournament at Quail Ridge Golf Club, Winfield, Kansas.
Over a par-72 course of 6826yd, Ben had a pair of par-matching scores for an aggregate of 144.
Team-mates Matt O'Neill, a sophomore from Warrington, James Tisdale, a junior from Liverpool and Greg Miller, a freshman from Livingston, Scotland, all finished in the top 10.
O'Neill had rounds of 72-76 for 148 and a share of third place.
Tisdale scored 72-78 for 150 and joint sixth place.
Miller tied for ninth place with rounds of 74-77 for 151.
Bethany College scored their third team win in a row by 12 shots from runners-up Southwestern College in a field of 12 teams.
