CHARLOTTE MAKES TOP TEN ON HAWAIII
England's Charlotte Thomas (Washington University) achieved another top 10 finish on the US women's college golf circuit in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic tournament at The Bay course, Kapalua, Hawaii this past week.
Charlotte, pictured, originally from Surrey but based in Singapore more recently, shot 72-69-73 for two-under-par 214 and a joint seventh place behind the winner by five shots, Grace Na (Pepperdine) (67-71-68 for 10-under 206).
The par-72 course was 6,036yd long and there were 90 players in the field.
Scotland cap Rachael Watton (Denver) finished T37 on 224 with improving rounds of 77-75-72.
Another Scot, Sally Watson (Stanford), finished T52 on 230 (77-77-76).
UCLA (8540 won the team event by four shots from runners-up Washington with Arizona State another four shots back in third place.
Denver finished 10th of 17 teams.
BROGAN TOWNEND 10th IN TEXAS
Brogan Townend (Texas-San Antonio) from Blackburn finished joint 10th in a field of 15 players for a stroke-play match against Texas A and M at Miramont Golf and Country Club, Bryan in Texas.
Brogan, pictured right, returned a pair of 80s.
Sarah Beth Davis (Texas A and M) shot a pair of 75s for 150 and was the lowest scorer on the day by three strokes over a par-72 course of 6,032yd.
Texas A and M won the match 613-625.

THIRD in LOUISIANA
In another stroke-play match, Alison Knowles, pictured left, a freshman from Mexborough and a student at Louisiana-Monroe, finished joint third with a 76, one shot behind the joint winners, at Pine Hills Golf Club, Calhoun in Louisiana.
Louisiana-Montrose won the match by a big margin: 302-354, over a shortish par-72 course of 5,815yd.
