CHATTANOOGA TEAM-MATES JOHNSTON AND ROBB DOWN THE FIELD AT HUMBLE, TEXAS

Tennessee-Chattanooga students Liam Johnston, a sophomore from Dumfries, and Chris Robb, a junior year student from Banchory, finished T25 and T46 respectively in a field of 85 players for the Bayou City Collegiate Championship at Redstone Golf Club, Humble in Texas.
Over a par-72course of 6,963yd, Johnston (pictured) started well with a 69 but then slipped to a 71 and fell even further down the leaderboard with a closing 79 for three-over 219
Former Scottish schoolboys champion Robb, winner of the North-east District Open title at Newmachar during his summer holidays back home, went the other way. He improved with each round, starting with a 77, adding a 74 and then winding up with a par 72 for 223.
Winner three shots with a total of nine-under 207 was Brandon Stone (Texas) with scores of 72, 68 and 67.
Texas, who had several players in the top 10, won the team title by a 21-stroke margin from runners-up Houston with South Carolina third, Louisia Tech fourth and Baylor and Chattanooga tied for fifth place in a field of 15 teams.

DALGLIESH DOWN THE TEXAS FIELD

Anglo-Scot Alasdair Dalgliesh, a student at Oklahoma Christian University, is not having such a good US college season as he did in 2011-2012.
He finished T31 in his most recent tournament, the San Antonio Shootout at TPC San Antonio, Texas.
Over a par-72 course of 6,826yd, Alasdair had rounds of 81 and 78 for 159 -- 11 shots behind the joint winners, Aaron Flores (Our Lady of the Lake) and Sondre Ronold (Oklahoma City). Flores shot 78-70, Ronold 75-73.
Oklahoma City (607) pipped their arch-rivals Oklahoma Christian (608) for the team title in a field of 12 teams.
