MEGAN GARLAND MAKES TOP SIX IN FIELD OF 101
Megan Garland from Goole, Yorkshire, a sophomore student at Daytona State University, put in a good performance in the University of Cincinnati Spring Invitational at Plantation Golf Club, Crystal River, Florida.
Megan (pictured) shot 77-72 for 149 to finished joint sixth, only six shots behind the winner by two, Megan Kiley (Florida Southern (70-73).
US Curtis Cup player Amy Anderson (North Dakota State) was runner-up on 145 (72-73)
Holly Robinson, a sophomore student at Alabama-Birmingham from Sligo, Northern Ireland, finished T85 in a field of 101 players with scores of 83-85 for 168.
Playing over their home course, no surprise that Cincinnati won the team title ahead of Bradley. Daytona State finished sixth and Alabama-B9rmingham 12th in a field of 17 teams.
HAYLEY FINISHES 3rd IN ONE-ROUND TEXAS EVENT
Hayley Davis, a sophomore student at Baylor University, Texas from Wimborne, Dorset, finished third in a one-round event, the Longhorn Triangular at Austin, Texas.
Over a par-72 course of 6,324yd Hayley shot a 77, finishing four shots behind the winner, Katelyn Sepmaree in a 1-2 Texas finish, Desiree Dubreuil (76) finishing second.
Lauren Taylor, a Baylor team-mate of Haley's, came joint fifth on 79 and Emma Carberry, a third Baylor player from England, finished T13 on 83 in a field of 21 players.
Texas (309) won from Baylor (318) with Southern Methodist (325) last of three.
