Too many spaces are still available in the fields for the opening Paul Lawrie Scottish Ladies Open Tour double-header at Dalmahoy on April 18 and Ratho Park Golf Club the following day, April 19.
The experimental and developmental mini-tour, which is backed by the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre, Aberdeen and the R and A at St Andrews needs support
from players in order to make it a success in its inaugural season.
More entries mean bigger prize funds for professionals and amateurs (who will receive prize vouchers). Conversely, if not many people are interested enough to enter, the prize funds will be meagre.
It especially needs players from south of the Border and Ireland/the Continent as well as amateurs from within Scotland to boost the number of entries to the minimum target number of 30, which gurantees a prize fund of £2,500 (£1,500 from the entry fees and £1,000 from the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre).
Players are asked to enter as many events as possible to help make
this venture a success and ensure it has a successful future. The response from players will decide whether or not we go ahead with expansion plans for our second year - 36-hole, two day events and spread our wings a bit by expanding the PLGC SLOT into the North-east and North-west of England.
We, the organisers, are very enthusiastic.
Let's have some enthusiasm from the people at the sharp end of this tour - THE PLAYERS!
Remember,
USE IT OR LOSE IT!

+We are such a player-friendly tour that we are not even charging a membership fee. You don't have to pay a penny in entry fees until the tournament you have entered has its draw publish on www.scottishladiestour.co.uk or www.kirkwoodgolf.co.uk
