STEPHANIE MEADOW FOURTH BUT ALABAMA WIN GATOR INVITATIONAL

Curtis Cup player Stephanie Meadow from Jordanstown, Northern Ireland and a student at Alabama University finished joint foufrh in a field of 78 players at the Gator Women's Invitational tournament at Mark Bostick Golf Club, Gainesville in Florida.
Stephanie, pictured, put together rounds of 68, 74 and 72 for a total of two-under-par 214, finished eight shots behind the winner by five, Chirapat Jao-Javanik (Oklahoma) who had superlative rounds of 69-68-69 for 10-under 206.
Hayley Davis (Baylor), from Wimborne, Dorset, finished T13 on 218 with scores of 73-68-77.
Sophie Godley (Florida International), a freshman from Nottingham, shot 72-78-75 for 225 and a share of 35th place.
Emma Carberry (Baylor), a sophomore student from Hailsham, finished T38 on 226 with scores of 73, 78 and 75.
Team-mate Lauren Taylor, British women's open amateur champion at the age of 16 at Royal Portrush in 2011, finished T49 on 229 (75-78-76).
Elizabeth Mallett (North Carolina), a former beaten finalist in the British girls championship and now a freshman student in America, finished T67 with scores of 75,78 and 73 for 236. 
Alabama (665) won the team title by three shots from Oklahoma with Florida (870) third. Baylor (897) came 10th of 15 with North Carolina (892) T8 and Florida International (905) 12th.


MEGAN GARLAND MAKES TOP 20 IN FLORIDA

Megan Garland from Goole, Yorkshire, a sophomore student at Daytona State University, finished 16th in a field of 82 players at the Ocala Spring Invitational women's college tournament at Juliette Falls Country Club, Ocala in Florida.
Over a par-72 course of 6,113yd, Megan, pictured above, had scores of 74-79-73 for a total of 226 - 11 shots behind the winner by two, McKayla Anderson (McNeese State)_ (78-67-70).
One of the winner's team-mates, Dolores Brown, a freshman from Kent and a member of Royal Cinque Ports GC, finished T70 with scores of 78, 83 and 85 for 246.
Mercer University (883) won the team title by seven shots from Stetson University with Daytona State (904) fifth of 14 and McNeese State (920) sixth.

SIAN BEST OF ANGLO FIVE AT AUGUSTA 

 
Five English students were in action in the Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate at Forest Hills GC, Augusta, Georgia.
Sian Evans (East Tennessee State), pictured left, from Kent did best of the quintet, finishing T31 (in a field of 99 players) on 229 (78-75-76) 14 shots behind the winner by two,  Ashley Anderson (Notre Dame) (76-69-70 for one-under-par 215) over a 6214yd par-72 course. 
Heidi Baek (Maryland), a freshman from Suffolk, finished T56 on 237.
Brogan Townend (Texas-San Antonio), a freshman from Blackburn, finished T69 on 242 alongside Melissa Siviter (Georgia State) from the West Midlands. Brogan had scores of 80, 80 and 82, Melissa 83, 78 and 81.
Jessica Gregory (Maryland), a freshman from Sittingbourne, had scores of 81, 81 and 86 for 248 and 87th place.
Purdue (876) won the team title by a single shot from Vanderbilt.
East Tennessee State finished eighth, Texas-San Antonio T9, Georgia State 12th and Maryland 13th in a field of 18 teams.  

GEORGINA'S TOP 20 FINISH IN UTAH


Georgina Mundy (North Texas), a freshman from Southampton, chalked up a top 20 finish in the BYU at Entrada Classic at Entrada @ Snow Canyon, St George in Utah.
Over a par-72 course (6,015yd), Georgnia, pictured, had rounds of 78, 75 and 78 for 231 which earned her a share of 19th place in a field of 84 players.
The winner by one shot was Kimberly Dinh (Wisconsin) with scores of 72, 70 and 74 for level par 216.
Wisconsin also won the team event by six shots from Minnesota with North Texas sixth of 15 teams.
