BAD START DEPRIVES EAMON BRADLEY OF SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE TITLE
Eamon Bradley from Coatbridge, a freshman student at South-east Louisiana University, finished third in the field of 40 at the Southland Conference Championship at Stonebridge Ranch Golf Club, McKinney in Texas.
Bradley saddled himself with an opening round of 82 and there was no way back from that but he did follow it up with scores of 71 and 73 to finish a gallant third on 225 - five shots behind his South African team-mate Rhys West who won with rounds of 73, 76 and 71.
Had Bradley, pictured, started with a 72 instead of an 82, he would have won the title by five shots!
Richard Farmer from Brighton, a junior student at Central Arkansas, finished T18 on 236 (86-76-74).
SE Louisiana (896) won the team title rather comfortably from Central Arkansas (906) in a field of eight teams.
