EGGENBERGER AND GILLING LEAD STUDENTS AT LOSSIE

Swiss international Mathias Eggenberger (Stirling) leads the men's division by three shots at the halfway stage of the Scottish students' golf championships at Moray Golf Club, Lossiemouth.
On another sunny but breezy and chilly day, Eggenberger couldn't match his opening round of four-under-par 66 but a three over 73 for 139 was still good enough to give him a clear advantage over his nearest rival, Stirling team-mate Patrick Spraggs with two rounds to come over the testing Moray Old Course on Tuesday.
Spraggs had the round of the day, a two-under 68, for 142.
Three players are sharing third place on 143 - Ross Crummy (Aberdeen) 73-70, Kit Holmes (Stirling) 71-72 and another Stirling player, Jack McDonald  72-71.
Players with totals of 157 and better qualified for the final two stroke-play rounds.

In the women's division, Stirling's Georgia Gilling leads by five strokes on 148 after adding a par 72 over the New Course to her par 76 on the Old on Sunday.
Iona Stephen (St Andrews) is next best on 153 (78-75) with the St Andrews pair of Welsh international Gemma Bradbury (80-78) and Miranda Brain (84-74) sharing third place on 158.
