FOUR LADY PRO PLACES STILL AVAILABLE AT TRUMP INTERNATIONAL - AND DON'T FORGET THE CRAIBSTONE LADIES OPEN

There are still four places left for lady professionals in the bumper field for the next event on the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Scottish Ladies Open Tour at Trump International Links, 12 miles up the North-east coast from Aberdeen, on Monday, May 6.
At the moment the entry stands at 16 lady pros and 21 lady/girl amateurs.
One of the tournament conditions is that there are 20 guaranteed places for lady pros per event - if they take them up.
Christopher Campbell (pictured), head pro at Trump International, has very generously extended our span of tee times to 13 which means we
can take a total field of 39 on May 6.
Everybody on the entry list at the moment will get to play, even the amateurs on the "Reserve List."
But that will change if FOUR lady pros enter before the fast approaching deadline. Presuming that no more amateurs enter in the meantime, that would give us a total of 41 (20 lady pros and 21 lady/girl amateurs).
In that set of circumstances, the two lady/girl amateurs with the highest handicaps would drop out.
Charlotte Ellis and Hannah Ralph, first and second in the Roehampton Gold Cup (open to lady pros and amateurs) at the London venue at the weekend cannot manage up for the North-east double header (Deeside Golf Club hosts PLGC SLOT No 4 on Tuesday, May 7) but they are hoping to come up over the Border for some later events.
Although the Craibstone Ladies Open on Sunday, May 5 - the day before the Trump International Links event - is not a PLGC SLOT event, it is open to lady pros and single-figure amateurs.
Entry fee is £25 for lady pros, who will be given early afternoon starting times to allow for them travelling up from the south, and £12 for lady/girl amateurs.
General Manager Billy Sim, pictured left, is the man to contact with your entry.
His telephone number is 01224 716777 or you can E-mail him at golf@marshall-leisure.co.uk
Craibstone Golf Centre is at Bucksburn on the north-west outskirts of Aberdeen. You can reach it off the start of the Aberdeen to Inverurie dual carriageway. Post code is AB21 9YA if you are using a SATNAV.
It's a trail-blasing move by Mr Sim to open up a club ladies open to lady professionals and he deserves support.
Remember the next two PLGC SLOT events are very generously being sponsored by Mike Loggie, the CEO of Saltire Energy so it is the £3,600 Saltire Energy Classic 1 at Trump International Links and £3,500 Saltire Energy Classic 2 at Deeside.
Linking up the events is the £1,250 Saltire Energy Championship which will constitute the 36-hole aggregates, obtained by adding together the scores from both venues.
There will also be a £10,000 prize for a hole in one at the short 16th at Trump International, courtesy of Aberdeen hoteliers Bill Hogg, Gordon Nicoll (Dutch Mill Hotel) and Gordon Sinclair (Atholl Hotel).
There will be a "consolation" prize of £100 to the player whose tee shot finishes nearest the hole - if the £10,000 jackpot is not won.
And the Arnold Clark £20,000 Kia for a hole in one, not won at Dalmahoy - Heather Stirling was the closest with a tee shot to within 4ft of the stick - is back up for grabs at the first hole at Deeside on May 7.
