IONA STEPHEN IS TOP RENFREWSHIRE SEED AT WINDY KILMACOLM
Iona Stephen (Ranfurly Castle) earned top seeding in the Renfrewshire women's county golf championship with a round of 81 in the rescheduled qualifying round, played in winds gusting up to gale force at Kilmacolm Golf Club today. The Peggy Clark Trophy for the best net score was won by Tracy Masterton (Windyhill) with a net 75 off 13. Former champions Megan and Eilidh Briggs along with title- holder Alyson McKechin, were unable to play due to other commitments, leaving a depleted field of 27. Second best scratch qualifier was 10 times champion and six times runner-up Donna Jackson with an 85. The CSS was 75; SSS 72 and the competition was Reductions Only.
