Day 1 - Wednesday 3rd April
Munster with a clinical short game won all three foursomes matches against Connacht.    Laura McCarthy and Aoife Lowry gave Munster the perfect start winning 6 and 4 while  the young partnership of Sinead Sexton and Chloe Ryan birdied the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 10th to closed out their match on the twelfth leaving the experienced pairing of Gillian O’Leary and Sarah Cunningham who started and finished with birdies to defeat Connacht’s Anne McCormack and Darragh McGowan 4 and 3.
Munster stayed on course to challenge for the trophy with a convincing defeat of Connacht in the singles.  Jean O’Driscoll survived a scare from up and coming Connacht star Shannon Burke(Ballinrobe) who levelled the match on the seventeenth but Jean held a good par putt on the last to win the match.  Emma O’Driscoll who was rested in the morning came out strong to dispatch of Anne McCormack while Laura McCarthy, Chloe Ryan and Sinead Sexton continued to impress Laura winning 1up and Chloe and Sinead both recording 4 and 3 wins.  Darragh McGowan’s win against Aoife Lowry gives Connacht encouragement going forward.

Leinster took a one match  advantage into their singles encounter again Ulster.  Amy Farrell and Carla Reynolds against Ulster’s Paula Grant and Jessica Carty was match of the day with the Leinster pair closing out the match on the seventeenth 4 under par against Ulster’s 2 under.  Earlier in the morning the Maguire twins comfortably beat Karen Delaney and Maria Dunne while the last match was a nip and tuck affair with excellent putting from both sides with Leinster edging ahead to win by 2 and 1.
Ulster staged a comeback in the singles against with Leona Maguire, Lisa Maguire and Paula Grant taking the top three matches and Lucy Simpson following in with a half against Mary Doyle to swing the balance in their favour.  However, Leinster not to be outdone halved the overall encounter with both Aedin Murphy and Deirdre Smith recording crucial wins.
